Replacement Operator
Recycling and Solid Waste Station

The Monroe County Solid Waste Management District is accepting applications for replacement operators to work on an as-needed basis at their four rural recycling and solid waste stations.  Work days include either Monday, Wednesday, and/or Saturday.

The Replacement Operator will oversee all operations of the facility.  Tasks include maintaining the integrity of the facility, operating and monitoring hydraulic compactors, monitoring collection tanks/boxes, and assisting the public with drop-offs.  Position requires being on the job site for 11.5 hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working outside in adverse weather conditions.  Must have own transportation. The pay range is from $9.50 - $10.67 per hour. Applications are available at 3400 South Walnut Street and will be accepted through Friday, March 4, 2011or until the position is filled. EOE.
