The Citizen’s Advisory Committee (CAC) is comprised of environmentalists, industry representatives and citizens with an interest in waste management issues and environmental stewardship. The members advise the District’s board of directors and management on policy, program, and budget issues.
Members also serve on task forces studying a specific issue or problem, making recommendations on them, and taking action on certain projects. Citizens from Bloomington, Stinesville, Ellettsville, Kirksville, Harrodsburg, Smithville, Unionville, and all other unincorporated areas of Monroe County are invited to serve.
If you are interested in environmental stewardship and would be interested in serving on the CAC, please call the District 349-2020 or
